I had the pleasure of seeing the rookie sensation, John Wall, during the Wizard’s home opener on Tuesday night and Wall was sporting his brand new Reebok Zig Slash hi-tops in white. Ever since the “Answer” shoe hype of Allen Iverson died down several years ago, Reebok has been very quiet in the basketball shoe market. However, they are making a strong push with their new Zigtech shoe line which features superstars Peyton Manning, Philip Rivers, and Chad Ochocinco. The zigtech shoes have a unique bottom that Reebok describes as “a bottom unit featuring a special lightweight foam that is engineered into a dramatic, geometric, zig-zag shape. Everything about Reebok’s ZigTech footwear is designed to conserve and return energy to the athlete.” Their slogan is “a energy drink for your feet”, I think I’ll have to try on a pair to see for myself. Anyone have any feedback on these shoes? See more pics here.
Brand Jordan and Carmelo Anthony link up again for the brand new M7 shoe. This promotional clip features Melo playing every role imaginable, from baller to photographer. Do whatever it takes!!!
It’s a indescribable feeling, when you first open the box to a fresh pair of Nike’s. Nike does it’s best job in “The Love” video to demonstrate that sensation.
The Lanvin for H&M collection looks pretty amazing. You can find additional info and pics here. Does anyone know which select stores will carry the line? I’d love to get my hands on the navy tux and some of the colorful shoes.
I’ve been hearing great things about Band of Outsiders for a few years. They are supposed to have a great fit and good quality. In terms of style, this is one of my favorite brands right now, and I need to take some time to check them out in a proper manner. They tend to more expensive, but they’re known to be a brand you can build a wardrobe around, which makes it all worth it. Check out the rest of the collection here.
I just ran across a great article on Valetmag.com regarding what is going to be hot for men this Fall. The 4 brands previewed, Club Monaco, Gap, Banana Republic, and J. Crew, and classic staples for every season, but they’ve got some great suggestions for Fall. My personal goal is along the lines of what J. Crew’s Frank Muytjens’ put so nicely, “a mix of utilitarian and dressy, distressed yet clean.”
Cool: herringbones, flannel shirts, slim-fit khakis, thermals, tailored overcoats, slim cargos, boots
Un-Cool: boot-cut jeans, baggy clothes, ‘overly graphic blingy’ tees, square toe shoes
